1st Quarter Information:

Bears win toss and elect to receive.

Bob Sanders intercepts Grossman on games third play and runs it back to the Chicago 34 yard line.

Colts are beset by penalties on first drive and Bears force a punt.

Bears begin 2nd drive at own 12 yard line.

Grossman is struggling early again and making some poor decisions. Bears are held to a 3 & out.

Colts begin at own 48 yard line.

The Bears D is hanging tough early and is not rattled by Manning's audibles and play action. Colts punt again.

Bears start at own twenty yard line and are sticking to the passing game to start the game. Grossman connects on a 22 yard pass to Berrian to move the ball out to the 42 yard line. But the drive stalls and the Bears are forced to punt the ball away.

This time the Colts are pinned deep at their own 1 yard line and are forced into a 3 & out.

Hester returns the punt to the Colts 32 yard line.

Bears are moving the ball deep into Colts territory mixing pass and run.

End 1st Quarter

2nd Quarter Information:

Bears convert a 3rd & 2 (T. Jones run) and have first and goal at Indy 9.

Colts Defense comes up big on 3rd and goal and forces a field goal try.

Gould connects on a 24 yard field goal as the Bears draw first blood in Super Bowl XLI.

Colts begin on their own 29 following kickoff.

Manning appears to be struggling against the Bears defense.

Colts again are three and out as Manning almost throws an INT.

This game is starting to be more of a defensive struggle as the Colts are held to another three and out but have manged only 8 yards of offense so far.

Colts get ball back. But Addai appears to have been injured on a monster hit by Urlacher.

It looks as though Addai's injury is serious and will miss the rest of the game with a bruised shoulder. That is a big blow for the Colts running game.

Colts punt yet again and the Bears start from their own 40.

Grossman has time but is still having problems connecting with his receivers. Then Grossman finds Bradley for a big third down completion.

Colts hold a third down at their 42. Will get ball back at their own twenty at the two minute warning.

Colts use the running game then play action.

Manning is intercepted by Ogunleye and returned to Colts 39 with 1;42 remaining before the half

Bears are trying to capitalize on the momentum and get a score before halftime.

Grossman may be finding his passing groove and the Bears are moving the ball again and Thomas Jones runs towards a first and goal at the Colts 10.

Grossman is getting hotter and connects with Muhamad for a 10 yard TD PASS! The underdog bears lead 10-0 !

Colts will not take a knee and try to get in scoring range.

Colts still cannot get anything going as Manning is sacked by Ogunleye who is having a solid first half.

Colts punt and Bears run out the Half.

3rd Quarter Information:

Colts get the ball to start the second half and are trying to get the running game going.

Colts have moved out close to midfield but the drive stalls

The Bears have lots of confidence on the first drive of the half as Grossman connects with Berrian for a long gain of 48 yards to the Colts 31.

Colts Hold and force another FG try.

Gould is good again, this time from 42 yards out.

Colts will start at their own 35 after the kickoff.

This Bears defense has just been suffocating all game and the Colts can get absolutly nothing going on offense so far. The Colts have yet to convert on third down and Bears have been in Mannings face all game. Another Colts punt.

The Bears seem content with a 13-0 lead and continue running the ball and giving their defense the chance to seal the game.

With Less than two minutes left in the third Quarter the Colts better start getting something going up or else they are in deep trouble.

Manning connects on a couple passes and the Colts are at midfield.

Colts are moving the chains.

Urlacher is punishing Colts running backs so Manning turns back to the passing game.

Colts have 4th and 6 at the Bears 40.

End 3rd Quarter

4th Quarter Information:

The Colts gamble and convert a huge 4th down play to keep the drive alive and move the ball to the Bears 34 yard line.

Manning completes to Harrison at the Bears 20 as the Colts say they have got some fight in them.

Urlacher comes up big on successive two plays: stuffing the run and defending a pass forcing another fourth down.

The Colts will go for it again!

They cannot convert on fourth and ten. Oh My !

The Bears take over at their own 22 but Grossman throws right to a Colts defender (Harper) and the Colts will set up shop at the Bears 29 with another chance to get back in this game.

On the first play Manning finds Harrison on a slant route and he steamrolls towards the endzone for a Touchdown!

After the PAT the Colts have narrowed the score to 13-7 with 5:54 to play.

We have ourselves a ball game folks.

Bears continue conservative play on the next drive, just keeping the ball on the ground but Grossman is hammered on third down by Jackson on the blitz.

Colts begin at their own 32 after the punt. The momentum has really swung in the Colts favor now!

Manning finds Moorehead open accross the middle for 24 yards to the Bears 44.

Manning gets picked off by Tillman and he returns it to the Bears 40. Holy Cow!

The Bears continue to try to pound the ball against the Colts suspect run defense and go three and out.

The Bears cannot take advantage of the turnover and now it is the Colts defense making a big stop.

Colts get the ball back at the twenty but the Bears are relentless in their pressure on Manning. he has been harrased all day.

Somehow Manning finds Harrison for a gain of 8 and the Colts immediatley go in to their no huddle offense with 3:21 remaining.

Moorehead again gets open a hauls in a 38 yard floater from Manning! The Colts are threatening in Bears territory.

The Bears' Tillman defends against a sure TD pass in the end zone to bring up a third and ten at the Bears 39.

The Bears hold on third down! and Colts elect to punt with 2:30 remaining and down the ball at the Bears 1 yard line.

Thomas Jones fumbles! Who has it?...........The Bears retain possession at the 7 yard line. The Colts blew an opportunity there.

TWO MINUTE WARNING! Bears lead 13-7.

Jones Runs for a first down. The Colts are using timeouts.

Big stop in the backfield by Morris of the Colts but they burn another timeout.

Colts have held to force a punt but do not call their last timeout to stop the clock it runs 1:03, 1:02......

What a questionable move as the Colts now have to go 72 yards with 30 seconds left and one timeout!.

Manning hits Harrison close to midfield.... time is running.....Colts use their last timeout with 19 ticks remaining. They can get off three plays at most maybe.

Manning is looking for Moorehead in the middle but............Hester is there to make an interception! the season long special teams hero is now a Super Bowl Hero! Baring a freak Joe Pisarcik moment the Bears will be Super Bowl XLI Champs!
