Preface:
Even if information is hard to find for NFL historic rosters it is ten times as hard to find info for college rosters. Some teams have better media guides and websites than others. And in some cases very little info exists for teams prior to 1960. We have done the best we could with the resources available. We do not claim %100 accuracy, but as we did with the NFL & NHL historic teams every effort has been made to provide the gamer with the most accurate info and realistic game experience possible.  Many teams may have more info than others.

Also within the EA/NCAA game itself for yearly teams( for teams prior to 1980) one is only allowed to edit a players name, position & jersey number. Height & weight CANNOT be edited. That will create a few quandaries along the way as will the use of two way players for teams from 1924-1965.

All Time Teams:

Clues given inlcude; year, position,  jersey#, height, weight & skin color.
Year & position are the two most important. In most cases we have found jersey #’s to be correct, when we have been able to verify corrections we have done so. When numbers are correct or cannot be verified we have let them be. In some cases neither ourselves nor EA sports can verify the info. The same is true for height & weight.; we have corrected those that we can verify. Also, we very frequently found that the EA sports crew has jumbled the jersey numbers and attributes of the players in each position. We have corrected that when we are able. We are not sure if that was a programming flaw or if EA did that on purpose to make it more difficult to fill in your rosters.
Furthermore in many cases the EA crew has guys out of position. For example  guards as tackles defensive ends as defensive tackles and vice versa and so on.....
All that being said you should have very little problems using our rosters to fill in your teams just going down the line. If there is any doubt please use our Names, Numbers, Heights & Weights etc...

Yearly Teams:
Teams since 1980 can be edited like the NFL teams with little problems. For some reason EA decided to limit the editing of earlier teams. We don’t as yet have an answer for this.
We have attempted to provide and verify as much info as possible for the yearly teams.
Some teams have more info available like Notre Dame for example has an excellent online database but teams like Army have very little info for their great teams of 1944-46. Every Effort has been made to provide at least "two deep" rosters for teams from 1955-present.

Advice for two way players and teams prior to 1960: You can either A) do the rosters like modern teams and make choices to use a player on offense or defense and use second stringers to fill in the gaps and so on. B) edit your teams to have your starters on both sides of the ball or C) follow option A then during at kickoff time edit your player positions on the depth chart or formation subs for both sides of the ball for either some or all of your starters. NCAA allows you to use a player at almost any position on the field during a game.

The way we are doing ours is putting all the "first stringers" on offense. Then going into depth chart and putting a few of the same players either first on second second string defense. That will give you the feel of at least a few players going both ways. Note: that will entail that you will need to do some attribute editing. We usually edit tackling, jumping, passing, kicking, speed or agility etc... (if it does not alter the player total by more than two points). You get the point, edit to where the old school guys can go both offense & defense without altering the players overall rating very much.

Also we are doing the yearly teams the way they should be done while still trying to demonstrate how they may appear on  your video game screen. Any alterations you may make are purely up to you as a video game player/fan.

All American Teams:
We are going to do these teams bare bones: We are just going to identify players by Team & Position and in most cases will not attempt to verify jersey#, height and weight so we can spend more time on what folks really want most; Yearly teams and All Time Teams.
